Our Story

Serving Delaware County since 1971.

Meals On Wheels of Delaware County, Inc. (MOWdelco) was originally founded in 1971 by a church group from Haverford Township who were interested in serving the hungry in their community. From this group, the non-profit corporation was officially established in 1974 with four service units created in Haverford, Media/Nether Providence, Marple-Newtown, and Aston/Brookhaven.

MOWdelco has been serving their clients for fifty four years.

MOWdelco serves well over 15,000 meals to an average of 60 clients per month, all prepared and delivered by our awesome volunteer team.

Thank you to all of you who faithfully serve!
